Lamar is a village in Chase County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 23 at the 2010 census. ==History== Burlington was laid out at its current site in 1887 when the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad was extended to that point. It was named for Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar II, who served as United States Secretary of the Interior in the Grover Cleveland administration. A post office was established at Lamar in 1887, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1995.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Cedar County )〕
